Want to develop your drawing and painting skills?

Leandro offers basic courses in traditional drawing and painting, based on studies of still-lifes, plaster figures and living model.

The courses aims are on giving participants a deeper understanding of form, light and shadow, as well as deeper insight into materials, painting techniques and composition. It provides a solid introduction to the preparation / priming of diverse painting supports like boards and canvases, with lots of useful and important information based on traditional, simple and durable methods – with emphasis on natural, health friendly and archival materials. You learn to create an artwork from scratch, acquiring useful knowledge that will open new possibilities in the creative process, to a far greater extend than any practice based on the use of ready-made products will do.

The courses are particularly well suited for beginners but will also be very relevant for those with more experience, especially when it comes to the technical aspects of the course.

Course days:

Normally on Mondays & Wednesdays, but specific dates can be agreed with me personally, other days may also be agreed in case Mondays and Wednesdays do not fit the participants’ own schedule

Time:

6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Duration:

30 hours, distributed over 10 sessions, each lasting 3 hours hours.
Drop in sessions can also be arranged, for interested parties who do not have the opportunity to attend the entire course.

Course fees:

Entire course: NOK 4.200,- (10 sessions, 20 hours)
Drop in : NOK 500,- (1 session, 3 hours)

A limited number of drop in hours (drop in) in other days of the week can also be arranged with me leader in advance, for those who do not have the opportunity to attend on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Pencils, paper and basic materials for preparing painting supports are included, brushes and oil / acrylic colors has to be taken by each individual, any extra model expenses during the course will come in addition, and distributed among the participants.

Upcoming courses:

date: 26th August

Starting new courses in the end of August – this time arranged by Oslo Malerklubb (OMK) at Briskeby district; OMK is one organization that has been running courses and a number of other activities for art students for decades.
The courses will start on 26th August and will take place once a week (3 hours each time) lasting 12 weeks.
